extractors were replaced. The firing pins were replaced too to avoid any failure in the future. Bolts were in good condition and according to the gunsmith, they should serve at least for a while. In the ML rifle, the screws connecting the gas piston to the bolt carrier were in worse con- dition than in the MS one – some signs of rust were visible. Yup, cle- aning is important. The firing pin spring and its pin were replaced. In both rifles the pistons were re- placed. They weren't worn out, but we have decided to replace them with the ones found in the latest PWS rifles, which are more dura- ble and the gas piston guiding rod attachment is stronger. The newer gas piston won't disconnect during field stripping. BAD Lever was added. ML rifle has BAD Lever added only. The BCM Gunfighter stock came with the gun. During the time of use, none of the pins, springs, o-rings and other small parts were replaced. FAILURES NExcluding some stoppages, the most serious failure was the bro- ken bolt catch in the ML rifle. The- re weren't any other problems. The MS had problems with increased friction in trigger, but disassembly, cleaning and lubrication solved the problem. Other problems during the weekend warrior use did not occur. Rifles were fed from Lancer Sys- tems L5-AWM and Magpul P-MAG M2 and M3 magazines. . BEFORE The guns were taken to the guns- mith at Besthunters without any da- mages but with some signs of use. The layer of paint had definitely protected the anodizing against the wear. We had decided to remove the paint comple- tely (after cleaning the rifles looked almost new) and to change to color. After complete disassembly and thorough cleaning, the status of the internals was a bit worse than expected from the outside, especial- ly in the ML rifle with more mileage. Buffers: didn't require anything but cleaning. At this moment there was no need to replace them. Bolt Carrier Groups: all the parts of the bolt such as nuts, springs and www.fragoutmag.com
