FIELD UNIFORM Standard BDU-type uniform, designed for use in the field, made of polyamide/cotton rip-stop fabric with addition of XLA elastic fibers in Border Guard's SG14 proprietary camouflage. The fabric, threads and tapes are NIR compliant. The base fabric has been factory-coated with a Permethrin, a mosquito and insect repellent, so for 50 washes it will provide protection against mosquitoes, fleas and other flies. The fabric also has anti-static properties (this was done with EOD's in mind) and is treated with an additional antibacterial finish. Field Uniforms consist of field shirts, pants and combat shirts. It should be highlighted that pants and shirts come inside smart pack-cell compression bags. Combat Shirt is rolled inside a tube from the very same fabric as the combat shirt's body and the tube may double as neck gaiter or buff. THE FIELD SHIRT has alpine trimmed-cut, although once again this was not achieved using proper cutting, but with the help of "my hated" fabric layers - well, apparently that's the technological process (in USMC MCCUU it was possible). The shirt is fastened with a full-length zipper covered by a Velcro flap passing into a collar, which can be worn folded or as a mandarin-type collar. To keep the zipper from jamming against the wearer's skin, it is protected by a contoured „pocket." The sleeves have adjustment tabs in the cuffs and reinforcements in the elbows. THERE ARE SIX POCKETS IN TOTAL: @ Two slanted chest pockets with dual entry – top Velcro flap and outside vertical zipper. This second feature allows access to the pocket when using load bearing equipment or ballistic vest. @ Two internal napoleon chest pockets with vertical zipper access. They are below the slanted chest pockets. @ Two double bicep pockets. The upper pocket can be accessed with Velcro flap and the lower pocket is accessed through the vertical zipper. There are two Velcro loop patches for IFF and badges. In the rear part of the pocket there are two elastic bands for chemlight sticks. The Combat Shirt is designed to be worn under a ballistic vest and has identically built sleeves, and its body is made of stretch flame-retardant knit, while the collar is in the form of a stand-up collar with a ¼ zipper. Under the armpits there are inserts to increase freedom of movement (similar function is also performed by tabs on the back of the blouse), and trimmed vents have been added The Field Pants have a raised and foam padded waist increasing comfort when wearing a first-line belt. Wide belt loops will accommodate virtually any type of belt, whether it is a flat „under-belt" or a standard rescue rigger belt. Belt loops are sewn from two layers of material - the first is a uniform fabric, the second is a polyamide webbing, which increases resistance to abrasion. In addition, the front loops of the belt loops have loops for routing a cord to protect small items from being lost, or they can be used to attach small snap hooks. The front of the execution uniform pants is closed with a zipper and a patch with large Velcro. On the hips there are welts with Velcro for a better fit. There are six pockets. From the top they are: @ Two hip slash pockets, the edges of which are trimmed with polyamide tape, protecting them from abrasion and stiffening them slightly. The edges are beveled at an almost right angle, allowing for a better grip on the folding knife, @ Two large thigh cargo pockets covered by a flap, closed with Canadian-style slotted buttons which can be easily opened with frozen hands or gloved hands, @ Two pockets at the bottom of the legs, closed with Velcro flaps. An unusual solution is the use of combat pants design in the field uniform set, with additional external knee pads. It's a shame that they come with knee pads from Emerson, a counterfeit original from Crye Precision. Fortunately, this item can be easily replaced on its own. www.fragoutmag.com
