At short distances the XM177E1
works as it was expected to be a
short military-grade gun designed
for close combat in dense jungle.
Approx. 2-2.5 MOA accuracy at 100
meters distance, with good ammo.
The gun runs great, the impact on
the shooter is minimal, and the ef-
fective muzzle device also effec-
tively limits the muzzle blast. Un-
fortunately, due to the short barrel,
muzzle device and handguard, the
weapon heats up quite quickly and
firing two 20-round magazines will
be felt by the shooter in the form of
increased temperature within the
base of the front sight.
