(without a weapon or outside the holster). Lifetime: working time with one battery is 1.5 hour (the manufacturer does not provide the lifetime of the LED). Surefire X300 Ultra This flashlight (or should I write "series of flashlights"?) does not need any introductions. This Surefire's flag- ship pistol flashlight. It is both used by soldiers, as well as police officers and it is highly recommended by instructors in the USA. It is very efficient, with 600 lumens output – that is why it is used by some peo- ple also in long guns, mainly due to the small size. Size and construction: a large flashlight, made of aluminum alloy with plastic elements. Dimensions: 90 x 30 x 38 mm Weight: according to the specification: with batter- ies 4.0 oz / 113 g, while 116 g on my scales. Attachment: very simple and intuitive, a plastic sliding mechanism is put on the rail in the weapon, the spring-clip works perfectly. However, in order to change the rail standard, one has to unscrew six screws and change the plastic spring element. I must admit that it is not the best solution, especially due to the fact that one has to remember where he or she keeps that element (I just have realized that I don't remember where's mine...). Switch: two wings placed in the back, on both sides, sliding up and down, and activated by pressing. On both sides, the switch works in the same way: up and down position switches the light in permanent mode, while pressing switches on the temporary mode. Such wings are very often used by other man- ufacturers of lighting. However, in the case of Surefire, in contrary to others, they work perfectly. Output: according to manufacturer's, 600 lumens. That's quite impressive. Some would say that it is more than sufficient for pistols. In narrow rooms and with bright walls, reflected light may distract the shooter. ACCESSORIES
