plate and AS trigger which is Dou- ble-Action/Single-Action trigger with a decocker. In Double-Action mode the internal striker is at rest with no pre-load and the trigger trav- el is 14 mm (0.55 in) long at approx- imately 38 N (8.5 lbf) trigger pull. When the slide is racked completely to the rear upon (re)loading, the in- ternal striker is manually pre-cocked features a decock key or knob on the slide. The Anti Stress mode can also be manually activated by mov- ing the slide approximately 10 mm (0.4 in) back. AS trigger was build to meet requirements of law enforce- ment agencies, that come up with an idea that they need firearm where first shot will require conscious and purposeful trigger pull to eliminate to Single-Action mode and the trig- ger remains in the forward position for the first shot and the Anti Stress mode is activated. The trigger travel is 14 mm (0.55 in) long in the Anti Stress mode at approximately 20 N (4.5 lbf) trigger pull. On all sub- sequent shots, the P99AS is auto- matically pre-cocked and the trigger travel is reduced to 8 mm (0.3 in) at the same 20 N (4.5 lbf) trigger pull. For manually deactivating the Anti Stress mode and setting the pistol to Double-Action mode the P99AS ly working AS trigger and forcibly search for excuses like "we heard it is not accurate" or "it does not look so cool" and crown one "yo, I heard that firing pin is falling off that one". We finally brake and start to shoot. And we were surprised. P99AS is quality-made gun – no glitches, neglected discharges when police officer in high-stress pulls the trig- ger accidentally by few millimeters. Opinions about this trigger mecha- nism are different. Couple of years ago (something around 2010) we've shot from P99AS and it was just bad... Maybe that was reason why we do not like P99 in particular, despite this is quite popular firearm in Po- land. We approached P99 with bit of shyness, having in mind that poor- FIREARMS
