WHY I WOULD NEED THAT SIGHT? I am avid long range shooter, so I decide to trans- fer some experience from that field to rifle training and competitions, that requires accurate shooting on the ranges from 50 up to 400 meters. More precision shooting at those distances put different requirements from the sight, and that is not only clearly visible red dot that can be aimed quickly on the target at 50 meters. As very big fan of Trijicon ACOG and its versatility, so with pleasure I start comparing it to the Vortex Spitfire 3x Prism. Off course, those are two differ- ent optics (and totally different price range), but their utility values and designated use are similar. I've got this Spitfire to conduct solid test. First thing I was told, was not to go easy with it, both during test and giving a feedback. I use it throughout couple of months, in total some- thing like several dozens of hours, static shooting with bipod as well as dynamic, from the hand, on the distances from 15 to 300 meters. During Protect Home and Your Family and Crazy Santa Clause AR Extreme Shooting competition and also many hours of training and courses. This gives me right to rate the Vortex Spitfire 3x Prism red dot. FOr STArTErS I've zeroed the sight on 100 meters to be able to use full potential of EBR-556B reticle. I tested it practical- ly in every outdoors conditions, during heavy rain, in temperature ranging from -1 do + 15°C. During shooting with Vortex Spitfire 3x Prism I was using Barnaul, GGG and Hornady ammunition. Rifle that held tested sight was modified STAG 3 with Plus Package and changed rail, trigger and bolt carrier. . ACCESSORIES
