Hellpup shoots every kind of ammo. Generally, it EATS every 7.62 mm x 39 rounds regardless of the man- ufacturer. If there are misfires they come from faulty ammunition and never from rifle itself. Turns out that it also fires different calibers. In the heat of one of the courses, one student mistook the ammunition and loaded single .223 round to the magazine (somewhere in between the 7.62). Was it a problem? Not for Hellpup. It fired like firecracker, the case expanded in the chamber and break alongside, so we had to use ramrod and a hammer to clear it. After that Hellpup was fed only with proper ammunition and worked flawlessly. Magpul ZHUKOV-S® side-folded stock. Here we had to use a hammer again!
