MAPA Tactical TMP-02 The MAPA Tactical TMP-02 Plate Carrier is a simple, multipurpose vest designed to carry two SAPI-sized hard ballistic inserts, in sizes S, M or L (maximum plate size 250 x 300 mm - designations actually vary between plate manufacturers), and provides a lightweight platform for carrying a basic kit. It comes with a small detachable assault pack too. The vest's size is essentially "one size fits most," thanks to adjustment points that allow it to fit the user. The TMP-02 base fabric is durable 700D Cordura nylon and polyamide webbing in MAPA camouflage, making the webbing straps almost invisible up clo- se. Velcro loop and elastic webbing in the same pat- tern, instead of solid green, would be a nice touch. The front and rear panels accommodate a balli- stic plate, which can be further stabilized by inter- nal Velcro straps - this is especially important when using smaller sizes, where the system allows them to be seated at the correct height. The compart- ments for the panels are fastened from the bottom with very wide Velcro - as long as the hooks catch with the loops, there is unlikely to be any chance of the plate falling out. The body side of the panels is a thick spacer mesh, which increases comfort and improves air circulation, but at the same time tends to hold moisture and all sorts of fuzz. The front panel from the top: ÄFlat straps that fasten the front and rear panels together, with a laser-cut triangle-shaped opening to reduce the weight of the plate carrier and improve flexibility. A single 40mm ROC quick release buckle is placed on the left suspender for quick release and reassembly of the TMP-02, so the default configu- ration is for a right-handed shooter only. Attached to the buckle is a piece of 550 cord for better grip. ÄZippered admin pocket for flat things like a small notebook. Its dimensions are approximately 80 x 150 mm; PSO MASKPOL S.A. (or MASKPOL in short), state-owned ballistic PPE manufacture (part of PGZ holding) owner of the MAPA Tactical brand, has decided to gradually release more and more products in MAPA camouflage (or, more precisely, in the MAPA B variant as there were two versions) so that the potential user can complete and perfectly color-matched kit - here it must be emphasized that with uniforms in MAPA camouflage, equipment in... MAPA camouflage fits best. Unfortunately, Ranger Green, classic OD, or Coyote Brown, stands off quite noticeably. Within MAPA Tactical, currently there are four load bearing platforms available - TMP-01, TMRG-01, TMP-02 and CL-01.
