Recently, I had a chance to put some rounds from "classic" Jericho 941F and its latest iteration, the Jericho II M and give them both a closer look. From the outside, differences can be spotted right on – except size (941F is a full-size gun, II M is com- pact) newer version respond to modern standards: it has polymer frame and much more elegant and more ergonomic design but in terms of internals both pistols are identi- cal (with one exception). Both old and new Jerichos are chambered in the same 9 x 19 mm round and are short-recoil operated. Locking is done by canting the bar- rel (and the chamber – in handguns they are one) forced by the slide going backwards. Except the exter- nal safety, Jericho also has internal firing pin safety that is disengaged in the last phase of trigger pull. Firin- g-striking mechanism in both cases works alike but the trigger shape is different. 941F is more bowed but II M has a less curved shape. www.fragoutmag.com
