www.fragoutmag.com FIRST LINE KIT TEMPLAR GEAR I didn't have a lot of stuff from Templars Gear, a Polish tactical gear manufacturing company, somehow the "style" in which they made their gear didn't quite hit me. I had a PT5 first line belt and some pouches somehow accidentally fa- iled, but it changed the owner, this PT5 didn't bring anything new, and in the case of pouches I had all too many of them. I left myself a tiny but great universal pocket with an orange interior, but I clipped it to a competitor's belt and it works great. TEMPLARS GEAR KIT A few months ago our own Sha- sh (FO#02) got us some 1st line belt kits straight from Templars Gear and, honestly, I got down to it with trepidation. But I put together a kit for myself in a setup suitable for my needs. So, the following kit arrived. Side note: all of the Tem- plars Gear products are made from NIR treated Cordura 500D-based la- minate named Baucent as was the name of the war flag (vexillum belli) used by the Knights Templar in the 12th and 13th centuries. Templars Gears offers a very wide spectrum of available colors and camouflage patterns, to include Multicam and its version, German Flecktarn, Po- lish wz. 93 Woodland and US M81 Woodland aka God's Plaid, altho- ugh not all the items are available in all the colors. PT6 The base is a 38 mm (1.5 in) wide PT6 tactical belt which is not a belt sleeve but something totally new. The PT6 consists of outer belt which is made of laser cut CURVE fabric (a compressed polyethyle- ne) and Templars Gear proprietary Baucent laminate fabric based on Cordura 500D abrasion resistant nylon with laser cut MOLLE/PALS slots (also compatible with Tek- -loks and others) and soft inner belt from Cordura and Velcro loop which doubles as a trousers belt. The outerbelt has a large three-po- int main buckle for additional secu- rity. The inner belt has a flat plastic buckle for low profile. For greater stability, there are Velcro hooks and loops provided with the belt. Users must place them on the inner side of the outerbelt. TG PT6 comes in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) but it mi- ght be adjusted.
