Jerichos on the range I took both handguns to the ran- ge to check how they perform in the designed activity – shooting. Com- parison is a little non authoritative if we put side by side full size hand- gun with crossover (because inde- ed II M is one against 941F), pistols with different barrel lengths what does matter when doing "classical" bullseye type of shooting. Shooting for points, according to expectations, better is Jericho 941F – greater length between front and rear sight, heavier and more stable firearm. While doing bullseye even that banana-shaped trigger does not disturbed me. Jericho II M does also allow accurate shooting but it's a little harder to do that in case of Jericho with a steel frame but it was never designed for. There were no revelations but I managed to fit inside black 8 with both pistols, yet with 941 lit- tle tighter. I did not fire hammer operated handguns in a while and I do not shoot bullseye often but I suspect that with little training we can attempt to aim for very good scores especially with steel framed Jericho. Dynamic shooting: here lead in that field is clearly for II M, even tho- ugh both triggers work very simi- lar. Despite its smaller weight II M has more ergonomic grip that can be adjusted with interchangeable back straps. Cherry on the top is a very well shaped safety lever wing that makes perfect support for the right hand thumb which gives even better control of the weapon. Ad- ditionally, at a short distance (8 -10 m) difference in length of aiming sights stops to matter. Because of that, doublets or just shooting higher cadence from II M was for me more pleasant, easier and just gave better results. It does not mean that 941F is not able to fire accurately and with good spe- ed but it will not be that easy as with II M. Firing with hammer down using Double Action – here both pistols match pretty evenly but I felt the im- pression that DA in Jericho Enhan- ced worked much more smoother for the user. I don't know where it comes from because striking-firing mechanisms in both handguns are the same. Ergonomics of both firearms is basically the same when we talk about manipulators and it is not changed but different looks of the safety lever wing because they work identically. Placement of the manipulators is convenient for sho- oters with medium and large hands but in case of 941F people with small hands might have problems with reaching magazine release or slide lock lever. With II M you just need to change the back-strap size and you're good to go. Summarizing: IWI Jericho 941F is classic "old school" handgun – heavy, full sized, based on a steel frame with an almost iconic look. It will be appreciated by the col- lectors or bullseye shooters that like classic weapons. For every day carry– probably not, but back in the days I carried Beretta 92FS but it was a very long time ago… Today's EDC firearms look totally different and Jericho II M will fit into that profile much better. Smal- ler size, weight with full magazine is still noticeably lower than empty 941F without magazine, so when loaded it will be a massive differen- ce. Interchangeable back-straps are today's standard solution so II M has it and 941F has "one size fits all" kind of grip and that's it. Also the shape of the grip as well as the whole frame is a better fit for mo- dern standards. Simply we can say that 941F is more-less equivalent of Beretta 92FS but heavier due to steel and not aluminum frame but II M is more like Glock 45 but (despite I have couple Glocks) Israeli pistol seems more ergonomic. On the other hand it's based on the quite old CZ75 that despite the age still has its fans and is still being sold in numbers. Definite flaw of both Jerichos is absolute one-sidedness and complete lack of manipulators for left handed shooters.
