Right view side of the rifle View of the nest barrels in the chamber have a corrosive-resistant coating. The benefits are multiple to men- tion carbon and gasses that are ex- pelled forward, away from the ope- rator, BCG and critical components remain cool and clean. Also, gas doesn't vent directly to atmosphe- ric pressure, which eliminates flash signature and supersonic crack. Adams Arms P1 features standard 6-position collapsible stock and foldable metal iron sights. How does it run? The Adams Arms P1 we have re- ceived for review came in an upgra- ded version with Geissele 2-stage trigger which was… an overkill to be honest. The entry-level match trig- ger would be just fine. Sure, if you want to use P1 in competitions, then definitely upgrade from the single-stage MILSPEC one. The barrel-shaped M4-style hand- guard is not a perfect solution. It's thick and does not improve weapon handling. Lack of any of the attach- ment points or slots does not allow adding a flashlight or even a sling loop. Well, I would recommend replacing it with some free-float handguard or just skipping P1 and buying a better equipped P2. Sure, some shooters will not have a pro- blem with this handguard and the rifle will be just fine for them. And remember, this is an entry level gun and probably one of the cheapest piston operated AR available. If you are used to standard MIL- -SPEC AR rifles, then single-sided switches won't be a problem. Some will complain about A2 pistol grip. Stock is fine. When shooting fast (ORT, bill drill, double taps, pairs of double taps with target change), the gun runs stable. The impact of the carbine on the shooter is comparable to that of PWS carbines with a long-stroke gas piston system. It seems that replacing the muzzle device with a muzzle brake and/or a standard buffer with a JP SCS or a hydraulic buffer could lower the impact level of the weapon to a ceiling compa- rable to good AR carbines with an adjustable gas block. When shooting at 100 meters distance, the accuracy was about 1.5 MOA with 55 gr rounds. This gun is omnivore, we fed it with Fioc- chi, PMC, GGG, Winchester, Norma and Magtech. Just find the proper rounds for your rifle and probably you will be able to get 1 MOA. P1 does not feature the free-floating barrel as too much pressure on the gun may cause shifting of point of impact.
