hand grenades (FRAG, smoke, WP) and unique GHTB thermobaric hand grenade (this one are perfect for fighting in caves). The most recognizable product of Czech VTUVM is the ultra-light- weight 60mm ANTOS mortar developed for SOF and air-assault or light infantry units. The very same company has also a bigger brother of the ANTOS designated as ANTOS-LR. It's bigger, more classic in design but also more powerful - the maximum range is 2900 meters. The mortar base plate could be aluminum alloy or composite. VTUVM offers also a suite of mortar rounds with re-designed fuses with doubled safety mechanism. Rounds with new fuse can be air-dropped as it can withstand drop from 11 meters. The night time part of the live fire demo was to familiarize guests with illumination rounds (both visible and NIR) and the night vi- sion clip-ons from Knight's Vision, a part of Knight's Armaments responsible for night vision optics. Unfortunately, due the ITAR regulations and very short time, the KAC reps could only bring the demo devices with FOM1400 image intensifiers which does not require export paperwork. Of course, the company can offer the devices with any tube customer wants. Except live fire shooting, the effective use of Czech Explosia ex- plosives was demonstrated (different flavors of Semtex charges) and the breaching products by American company called Ener- getic Materials Products, developed for forces entries. The hand- held breaching torches f the TecTorch series consists of N300 igniter powered by two CR123 batteries (capable of igniting up to four breaching cartridges in parallel) and two types of ther- mite-based breaching cartridges. The C111 is designed to cut steel bars and rods of up to 19 mm in iameter (or up to 25 mm for aluminum rods or steel cables), as well as padlocks, chains and bolts. The other cartridge, C211, is meant to penetrate up to 13 mm thick homogeneous or alloy steel plates and sheet by burning a 10 mm diameter hole through it. Both cartridges con- tain 96 g of thermite-based mixture, burning in temperatures of up to 1600°C. That three day long event was very intensive and lot of rounds were put down range.
