KORDEK IS TESTING At the very beginning I must say that Arc'Teryx's LEAF Atom LT I own, was used for 2 years before I got it. That is why in some places it is pilled, mostly chest and sleeves. Former owner used it almost as an EDC clothing and neverthe- less jacket is spotless. First impression when I took it in my hands – very lightweight. But I was concerned about its durability as it felt very soft and vulnerable for damages and te- ars but the more I have used it the less I was worried. And I've been using it during every possible physical activities. Atom is very durable, lightweight and after packing it takes very small room. Most important – Coreloft insulation is superb for its thickness. Sometimes I used Atom LT as a top layer while running in temperatures around 0 Celcius degrees with winter thermal shirt underneath it. It really is windproof and warms user in a perfect way. Elastic side panels pro- vides very wide range of movement. Especially while using TRX for training. For me, the highest comfortable temperature for using Atom is between 10 to 15 Celcius when 15 is a maximum. The lowest temperature was -10 Celcius degrees when I used it as a midlayer with NFM GARM Combat Jacket. Such layers gave a suf- ficient comfort while wearing it. And that was the lo- west temperature I had used Atom LT. One and only thing that is questionable for me are outer pockets zippers. They need to be caught very near to the slide to open the pocket easily. Otherwise it blocks. Pockets itself are good only for light things only. I've thrown a phone and it was enough to make it uncomfortable. Standard 5,5' smartphone and it is too heavy for carrying it in front pockets. No, just don't. Light things only. And that's all disadvantages. Atom works perfect as a midlayer insulation as well as outer layer. I was very surprised that after a drizzle it wasn't damp. Water drops were staying on the material without making it wet. But don't try to use it as a rainproof layer because it is not such. @ ATOM LT IN USE www.fragoutmag.com
