The ITWL offers a wide array of airborne targets designed for air defense systems operator's training. Some are turbo-prop and some are fast jet targets. One of the most advanced product is JET-2 jet air- borne target for anti-air missile training. JET-2 reach the speed of 500-550 kph and is propelled by two jet engines with 0.145kN thrust. The dimensions are 2.8 meters wingspan and 3.5 meters overall length. Total weight is 110 kilograms including 40 kilograms of fuel what allows for one hour flight on 5000 meters altitude. The device can be programmed for multiple training scenarios. PIRANIA ("piranha") project of small maneuvering missile designed to reconnaissance, simulations of the air attack or to conducting precision strikes. The jet-propelled PIRANIA is 0.8 meter wide and 2.2 meters long. The total weight is 80 kilograms including the 15-20 kilograms of warhead. Maximum range is up to 300 kilometers. ILX-32 MOSUPS lightweight UAS with a combined wing design developed by Polish Aviation Institute as a part of R&D program for aircraft with improved aerodynamics. After cancellation of the Caracal helicopters procurement program based on a common platform, the idea of multiple models for different tasks will return. Leonardo Helicopters with PZL-Świdnik plant will most probably offer a combi- nation of AW149 medium helicopter and AW101 heavy helicopter as a better solution than a common platform for such different requirements as SAR or SOF support role. WITU Obserwator-1 (Observer-1) surveillance system on Shadow CR-4 quadrocopter UAS This unit has a maximum weight of 7.5 kilo- grams and is capable to operate within 5 kilometers radius from the control station. The surveillance payload was mounted 44 centime- ters above the rotors what allows for observation from behind the cover. CR-4 may also carry GK-1 or GO-1 warheads. www.fragoutmag.com
