Dillon Aero DAP-6 pod 7.62mm M134D-H multi-barreled machine gun with own electric system. Weight of pod without ammunition is 73.5 kilograms. With 3000 rounds it peaks to 159 kilograms. The DAP-6 comes with NATO standard pylon mount but can be delivered with some non-standard mo- unts, e.g. for ex-Soviet aircrafts and helicopters. Israeli Elta System EL-8222 ECM pod suggested as a solution for Polish F-16 and Mig-29 Fulcrum fighters. The standardized mount and communication interface enables to install the pod under different types of aircraft. EL-8222 integrates ECW suite capable to jam missile warheads and to find and identify enemy electronic systems. Mock-up of Textron CBU-97 SFW (Sensor Fused Weapon) cluster bomb unit with 10 BLU-108 sub- munitions. Each submunition contains four hoc- key-puck-shaped sensor-fused projectiles called Skeets. These detect target vehicles, such as tanks, armored personnel carriers, trucks and other sup- port vehicles, and fire a kinetic energy penetrator downwards at them. It could be an excellent ad- dition to the weapon array carried by Polish F-16 fighters but Polish MoD does not see a need to buy those. BAE Systems Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (AWPKS) pre- cision laser-guided rocket. First batches were converted from 70mm Hydra rockets and were delivered for US Marine Corps AV-8B jets and US Army AH-64 helicopters in 2012. In 2016, in RFI procedure, US Air Force procured AWPKS for F-16C/D and A-10C aircraft and conducted first combat operations with those rockets. The AWPKS has potential to become an armament of Polish attack and multi-role helicopters. www.fragoutmag.com
