According to the designers, new version has few advan- tages over the previous model. Simpler grenade launcher minimizes the overall height of the assault rifle-grenade launcher combination, what eases firing in some cases, for example, when the handguard is put onto the barrier. Then, whole shooter's silhouetteis smaller than with the previous type. In fact, assault rifle with the launcher is slimmer, looks and compose better with the stanard MSBS. I have not fired from this grenade launcher, so it is hard to tell, how big differences are, but getting familiarize with one, I can evaluate some technical solutions. About better composing launcher into the assault rifle – full agreement. Unfortunately, in my opinion, system like that one makes the firing from the launcher under the assault rifle lot less comfortable. Much better, in my opinion, was the solution used in the previous version of the launcher but I have to admit, it was very specific, yet original and require to get used to. Previous placement of the manipulators, although unprecedented, was comfortable. It is hard to define, how it would perform in the field, after getting dirty, but the de- sign seemed to be well thought out, and for sure innovative. Placement in the redesigned version is just classical, and ergonomically there is nothing to be nitpicky. U n f o r t u - nately, both me, and many other people, have not seen previous version of the stand-alone stock (if it was ever made) but on the sketches it was small, compact, handy and looked ergonomic. New stock will be classical, and the whole setup – much longer. FIREARMS
