At this moment I want to stop for a minute, to focus on the reload- ing procedure (rack). After reloading the weapon, we hear metallic sound hitting metal on metal, is means that the procedure run cor- rectly. Experienced shooter (mostly as for people who are shooting with their own weapon for some time) recognizes the sound of bolt carrier hitting the chamber what gives him the information "weap- on loaded properly, nothing disrupt the loading process". I mention that weapon gives different sound reloading properly and different reloading on empty chamber. Feeling the weapon is also very import- ant during last shot. Totally different the weapon is working on the full cycle of the bolt carrier going back and forth and in the situation when the bolt carrier is going backwards and locks to the rear after it fired last round. It is possible to feel things like that and it comes with time (with the amount of purposefully fire rounds) - during our courses, we show trainees these differences, and point out these subtle details. Backing to our stovepipe type malfunction - sometimes it may happen that reloading will not be enough, we will not hear metallic sound and you have to take the jammed casing with your hand. It is relative- ly easy to both spot and fi fIx, because most part of the casing will be stick out from the ejection port and taking it out will not be prob- lematic. Watch out, casing may be very hot. Those type of malfunction can be identified by „mushy" trigger - no so- und of hammer hitting the firing pin, and additionally, weapon is working same as after firing last round from the magazine (bolt is partially in the rear position). complex malfunctions www.fragoutmag.com
