the first public demonstration of the OSU-35K system installed on a naval vessel. The OSU-35K system has been developed by a consortium formed by the following entities: Military University of Technology (leader), Polish Naval Academy, PIT-RADWAR S.A., and ZM Tarnów S.A. The first test firing of the system, during the dynamic tests phase, took place in June 2022. OSU-35K pre- miered during the 2022 edition of the MSPO event in Kielce. The key components of the OSU-35K system include the AM-35 au- tomatic naval gun, integrated ZGS-35 observation/tracking unit, BSKO fire control system block, and RSKO reserve fire control station. The system, as a whole, has been designed to be work- ing with the vessel's CMS, or in an autonomous manner. The gun As already mentioned, the ORP Albatros is the first vessel of the series based on a changed configuration. The new elements in- clude a new integrated bridge setup, new navigation radars, Saab Double Eagle SAROV (Semi-Autonomous Remotely Operated Ve- hicle) platforms, Kraken Robotics KATFISH (Kraken's Active Tow- fish) sonars, and a brand new OSU-35K weapons system armed with the 35 mm AM-35K naval gun. The whole package makes the ORP Albatros step away from a conventional MCMV role, as the vessel may act as a mothership for underwater, unmanned reconnaissance assets, or underwater vehicles used to eliminate threats at a safe distance.
